The purpose of this study is to analyze the function of Technopark throughwhich to find out a political implication for its reestablishment and revitalizationas the significance of this study. This study carried out the interview withfocus group for functional analysis of Gyeongbuk Technopark. A focus groupwas formed with businessmen and experts involved in the business for interviewwhich was carried out twice.The analysis on technopark through the interview with focus group showedthe findings as below. First, the promotion of technopark in various ways asdepartment-store-like in its function obstructs it being differentiated fromsimilar institutions on which the opinion of the business, the users haven't beenreflected.Second, academy-industry connected network function appeared to be mostimportant among the many technopark’s functions followed by local industrialpolicy planning & estimation, technology commercialization function. Nevertheless,business & institutions incubating appeared to be the functions focused most bythe current technopark.Third, academy-industry connected network appeared to be the functionneeds to be promoted in priority in relation to technopark in the coming days.Local industry policy planning & estimation, offering of business service,technology commercialization were also included in the group to be promotedpreponderantly.
