A 10-member delegation from Bangladesh Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) visited KRILA on June 18th, in part of a training and study visit program on “Municipal Administrative Systems and Application of ICT.“ The two-country study visit program, organized by Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand for senior engineers from Bangladesh government, aimed to provide learning opportunities on local governance best practice in Korea and Thailand.
In the discussion session specially organized for the Bangladesh delegation, 3 research fellows from KRILA including Dr. Sung-Il Lim, the Vice President of Policy Research, participated to deliver presentations on Korean local administration. Bangladesh delegation, headed by Mr. Md. Hasanur Rahman, the Joint Secretary of Local Government Division, expressed keen interest in the development of Korean local autonomy system, and there was an active exchange of ideas among participants.
