The Korea Local Administration Review

The purpose of this study is to examine changes in the public officials and organisation of local governments and to determine whether the system has and effect on changes in the public officials and organisation of local governments. It is to identified the trend of changes in the public officials and organisation of local governments and panel regression was used to examine the effectiveness of the system.
The analysis results are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the number of local government officials and the trend of organizations, it can be seen that both the number of public officials and the organization continue to increase. Second, according to the trend of the number of organizations and public officials by position, type, population, and rank of local government officials increased overall, and the growth rate of Grade 9 increased the highest compared to other positions. Third, panel regression analysis results shows that the number of organizations increases as the system changes, but it does not affect the number of local public officials.
