Implication for the Introduction of Hometown Donation System in South Korea Based on Perception Surveydownload
This study aims to identify key issues for the introduction of Hometown Donation System in South Korea by surveying the perceptions of potential donators. The survey results show that half of the survey respondents are in favor of Hometown Donation System. However, the participation of young citizen of 20~30s living in Seoul Metropolitan Area is necessary to sustain the system. Regarding the purpose of the system, a large proportion of the respondent considers it is not appropriate for reducing the financial gaps between regions. However, there are consensus about the given rate for tax credit of hometown donation. The respondents also agree the idea of gift to donators but the limit for gift needs to be set.
