A Study on the Effective Implementation Plan of Urban Regeneration Projects: Focusing on the Determinants of Citizen Participation in Communitydownload
The purpose of this study was to investigate the determinants of citizen participation in community. Specifically, this study examined the relationship among residential environmental satisfaction, sense of belong to community, and citizen participation. For this, we reviewed the previous research on those variables, and analyzed 「The 1st Survey on the Quality of life in Gyeonggi Province」 through SEM(Structural Equation Model). The empirical analysis showed that residential environmental satisfaction had direct or indirect effect on citizen participation. In more specific, social environment satisfaction including the relationship between neighbors had the greatest effect on citizen participation. Also, sense of belonging to the community had a significant mediating effect between residential environmental satisfaction and citizen participation. Based on the above findings, this study identified the priorities for increasing citizen participation in community, which provided important implications for implementation of Urban Regeneration Projects.
