Unfinished Dilemma: The Conflict Regarding the New Southeastern Airport in South Koreadownload
The conflicts surrounding the new Southeastern airport in South Korea had not been resolved even though the declaration of the abandonment of Lee Myung-bak administration and the determination to augment Gimhae airport by Park Geun-hye administration. The central government confronted a dilemma. The dilemma posed by this conflict is as follows: 1) two locations cannot be integrated; 2) two locations cannot be chosen simultaneously; 3) two locations are expected to yield equivalent outcomes; 4) there is a time limit for choosing the location. Understanding conditions for creating the dilemma may help find solutions. Due to its significance, however, this issue has never been assessed by dilemma theory. The purpose of this article is to examine the conflicts regarding the new Southeastern airport by using dilemma theory.
