There has been a mushrooming of selective definition on ‘justice’, sincepresident Lee Myung Bak mentioned the concept in 2010. In general, liberaliststend to define the concept from the view point of procedural justice.
Communitarianists prefer to conceptualize it from the distributive justice andthe so-called ‘common good’ perspective. Public choice illustrates anotherpossibility from a rational rule-setting. This study reviewed the threetheoretical views and analysed several preliminary conditions and urgent tasksfor the improvement of justice in Korean local communities.
