A Study on Evaluation to Productivity of Field Offices of Central Government Agencies Integrated to Jeju Special Self-Godownload
Seven of the Field Offices of Central Government Agencies are united as Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. This is the first unification of the offices in the history of Korean Administration. This study is designed to assess the performance of the united offices as one Special Self-Governing Province by examining the process and of unification and the achievements of the province. According to the examination, the unification process does not follow the principle of unification, considering the key elements of organization administration such as rights, number of staffs, and finances. The achievement was analyzed by the expectations of academic authorities and related organizations for the province and both good effects and dysfunctions of the province were indicated through the analysis. This study expects that the dysfunctions will be ameliorated by Central Government’s progressive adjustment in understanding the nature of the unification and enhancement of the performance of local autonomy and thus the administration of the province of unification should be continued.
