Both the central government and local governments has lots of evaluation systems of local governments' policies. Too many evaluation systems have the possibility of overlapping each other and, if so, it can cause the evaluation burden of local government.
Considering the possibility, this study analyzed the local government's policy evaluation systems, especially Gyeonggi province government's and found out the overlapping in systems. To avoid overlapping, this study consequently suggested the integrated evaluation models in two direction. One is the bottom-up approach which is unifying the overlapped policy evaluation systems based on the self-evaluation of local government and the other is the top-down approach which is unifying them based on the central government's evaluation.
