A Study on the Impact Area of Performing Art Facilitiesdownload
As the demand for enjoying performance culture increases with the increase in national income, each local government is trying to build various scale and type of performing art facilities. Due to the lack of general principles for setting the impact area, the diversity of services and demand for performance facilities is not considered in the feasibility study. In addition, it is also decided by the judgment of an expert. Thus, this study classifies the types performing art facilities and discovers the impact area of performance facilities using the big data of telecommunications company. It is important in conducting feasibility study in terms of estimating demands and benefits. First of all, surveys were executed and it was found that people considered contents at most in selecting performing art facilities. This means the programs provided in the performing art facilities play an important role in measuring impact area. Then this study was intended to find criteria of classifying the of performing art facilities. To this end operational, locational, building, and status characteristics of each facility were constructed. Three main factors were derived by performing principal component analysis; and each factor meant whether the performance facility was urbanized, differentiated content, and in terms of facility size. After that by conducting K-means cluster analysis; it was derived in the form of a decision tree using variables such as the number of halls, seats, population, and workers in facilities. As a final step, SKT communication big data was used to discover the practical traveling distance for watching a performance, representative facilities were selected in each cluster and the impact area was investigated considering the cumulative ratio according to the distance traveled for the metropolitan and national area respectively. This study is meaningful in that it suggests a new direction for setting the impact area of performing art facilities.
