On April 18, 2024, the Korea Research Institute for Local Administration(KRILA) and the SShanghai Administration Institute(SAI) in China held a Korea-China seminar to share mutual experiences and solutions through academic events on common issues between Korea and China as a partnership for local administration and regional development research.

Lee Seo-hee, head of the Regional Economic Analysis Center at KRILA, announced the roles and achievements of central and local governments to revitalize the local economy, followed by Choi In-soo, head of the autonomous decentralization system at KRILA, on the theme of how to systematize local regulatory innovation to revitalize the local economy.

The Chinese side announced the qualitative growth of Shanghai, promoted by ZHOU Jing SAI Assistant Researcher, under the title of industrial upgrade, and the LI Xiaojing SAI Assistant Researcher announced the search and implementation of the Shanghai International Science and Technology Innovation Center.
