At 2 p.m. on the 6th (Monday), the Korea Research Institute for Local Administration held the 27th Korea-Japan Regional Policy Research Workshop under the theme of Activating the Regional Economy Using ICTin collaboration with theNational Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) and Incheon Metropolitan City at Songdo Convensia No. 306.

 

Academic experts and local government officials from Korea and Japan attended the research meeting as a panel.

* (Korea-Japan Regional Policy Research Workshop) This is a regular event hosted twice a year by the Korea Research Institute for Local Administration and the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies. It is an academic research meeting in which experts from both countries jointly study the challenges facing both Korea and Japan and seek practical alternatives to promote joint development

 

The research meeting will be held in two sessions, and each session was presented by two experts from Japan and Korea.

 

The first session presented topics such as Hirofumi Takada, vice president of the Graduate School of Japanese Policy Studies, "On the Digital Country City National Initiative," and Yasuyuki Hanawa, associate professor of the Graduate School of Japanese Policy Studies, "Promoting Smart Agriculture to Solve Challenges in the Field with Technology."

 

 

In the second session, Lee Won-do, head of the Population Reduction Regional Response Center at the Korea Research Institute for Local Administration, presented the theme of "Exploration of consumption behavior between regions using credit card data," and Lee Sang-ho, head of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, presented the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) smart city project case study.
