The Korea Research Institute for Local Administration(KRILA) co-hosted the Korea-Japan Joint Research workshop at 1:30 p.m. on December 9 at the Auditorium of the Korea Research Institute for Local Administration(KRILA) on the theme of "A case Study of Tourism by Local Governments of Korea and Japan in Response to Covid-19" in collaboration with Council of Local Authorities for International Relations(CLAIR)
Due to the 2.5th stage of social distancing in the Seoul metropolital area, the workshop was broadcast live in a form of a webinar. The Korea Research Institute for Local Administration(KRILA) and Council of Local Authorities for International Relations(CLAIR) shared experiences about the case studies of tourism with both Japanese and Korean local governments under Covid-19 situation and enriched the discourse with diverse perspectives in the face of current situation with Lee Sam-joo (the acting president of the Korea Research Institute for Local Administration), Shin Doo-sup (the head of the planning and coordination division of the Korea Institute for Local Administration), and Lee So-young (a researcher at the Korea Institute for Local Administration), Kim Si-beom (Professor of the Graduate School of Korean Culture and Industry at Andong University), Oh Hoon-sung (Assistant Researcher of the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute), Jeong Il-seop (Director of Culture, Tourism and Sports Bureau at Gangwon-do Province), and Hwang Gun-hyuk (Assistant Manager of the National Tourism Strategy Team at the Korea Tourism Organization).
