The Korea Local Administration Review

This study investigates how businesses, as demanders in a labor market, formulate their expectation on their new employees. In particular, this study ultimately attempts to explore 1) whether their actual workforce is consistent with their expectation and 2) whether this expectation-behavioral pattern workforce relationship leads to performance improvement. Based on survey study conducted on personnel officers and CEOs of businesses located in Seoul Metropolitan area, this study investigates the determinants on female employment. In doing so, this study is expected to provide policy implications on female workforce development.
